Anyone else praying for Android 1.5 BT Update?

I look at the site every day...usually multiple times just praying for an update on 1.5 for Android. Anyone else waiting daily or is it just me?

It's not just you. v1.5 for Android has for sure become a bit of letdown. Not because it's not promising but because we've just been unable to do much with it lately. The tough part for us, we have a hard time continuing to program something we know isn't going to last. In other words, we are working hard to bring the plugin arrangement to the online control panel and eventually everything will be using that approach. So, with that in mind, we feel much more compelled to make plugins that work for all sorts of things than we do to program tons of code for v1.5 Android which has a relativlely small audience (relative is the keyword here). We do plan to 'finish' all the screens for v1.5 that we originally intended on (even if it's only for a smaller audience). It's important that this happen. But, it's been tough (to say the least) to keep up with everything. (you're post re-motivated us on v1.5 ;-) cheers.

Thanks David. I hope you guys continue to be motivated for Android. I know iOS is a monster not missing but Android is gaining some pretty big ground. They just hit their 10Bil download this week from Market. Greatly appreciated what you guys have built here...so don't see this as complaining. More like begging :)

I'm gutted :-( But I know, from beta testing software in the past, that a day can easily translate into a month and it's completely unavoidable and unforseen. In the meantime, there's a ton of interesting source code hiding in the recesses of the web that can be imported into eclipse and modified..

Not sure about the rest of the guys here, but I sell nearly 2 Android apps for every 1 iOS app.

I'm definintely for the long term solution. Willing to wait a little longer to get the whole package....BT server with iOS and Android, all one big happy family.

@WolfTimJ I'm not selling apps (yet) mainly using them for my company. But it seems as though my Android app is getting far more love than iOS.

YES!! I'M PRAYING AND BEGGING that this happens as well. Please David! I am putting together an internal app for a Fortune 500 company and it looks FANTASTIC on iOS and my associates are drooling. However, I have one problem... All of the Sales Reps are contracted to use Android phones for the next 2 years and I'm afraid my reputation depends on this update. I plead, please continue to chug away on 1.5.

All I want for Christmas is some Android 1.5. Ha. I've been less than successful in my own attempts at the video screens too. Tried fiddling with the PDF screens as well and got a bit disheartened. Makes me appreciate all of the iOS code that Buzztouch gives us already. Thanks again David and everyone at BT! Happy Holidays

@Photo P So-Cal - almost. We'de like to think of it as Central Ca and much cooler (in more ways than one!). Ha. @TOBrien: We're moving along good with all the plugins we must get done to keep this thing going. When the basic list of plugins for BT_server are done (we have 21 of 29 done) we'll move those back to v1.5. It really is the same code and it's only a matter of adding the plugin class files to an exisitng Android v1.5 project.
