Splash Page

I love buzztouch, but is there any way to have a splash page or one full picture with a start button come up first?

I'm kinda new here, but I just added a Splash Screen to my little project the other day... You have to create a new Screen with a nickname and select Splash from the drop down menu. Then you can edit the animation for your new splash page from the Screens/Menu area to have the user tap to start. You can enable the Splash Screen by selecting it under the Generic Theme under its properties menu. Hope that helps. Dan

Thank you! Just so I am clear... Do I create the splash page in the buzztouch lab before downloading the source code or do I add it in Eclipse in the source code java files? Where is the Enable the Splash Screen by selecting it under the Generic Theme under its properties menu. Could you please send me your .apk to view? [email protected] Thank you Dan!

Whoops, looks like I was using Buzztouch for iOS, not sure if its the same options. I haven't looked at the options for Android app building. Sorry Victor...

Splash pages are controled under the theme settings. First create a splash screen under screens and menu. Then under theme you will see Splash and just use the screen name you created under screens and menu. When you create the splash screen on its properties under background image you identify the image either as a URL image or xxxxx.jpg. If you are not using a URL then you need to add the xxxx.image to your project under eclipse or ios in the correct folder.

I'm doing both. You need a MAC to complile the source. Xcode is the platform for Apple. You cant use eclipse for the IOS stuff. A mac mini is the most economical way to go and works well for many people. You can pick a used one up on craigslist very cheap... 200 to 350...

Hi @Victor, I'd also recommend that you sign up for the v1.5 Early Adopter access. Version 1.5 is much more feature rich than 1.4, and you'll find a lot more things you can do with it. You can find more info about it here : http://www.buzztouch.com/account/account_earlyAdopter.php Make sure if you purchase a used Mac that it's an Intel processor based Mac. The PPC ones don't work with Xcode. Mark
