Manually copying other BT-code to Buzztouch

Hi, I was member of Appcode/Appd - the offered IOS development by using Buzztouch system on their page. Somehow the service is down now and i dont have access to the system anymore. I want to shift over the code to a real Buzztouch account but I dont know how to do? Dont want to start from scratch and I dont remember the plugins I used ;) So I have all BT-files as it was the same system in Appcode environment. And I have XCode file of course. Can I somehow transfer/copy this stuff over to Buzztouch ?? Thank you for helping in advance - have a nice day ahead. Regards

Well, to get anywhere first, you'd have to have a self hosted server (I'd say anyways). Also, I believe that you'd have to have the SQL tables and rows that relate to your app, so it would be quite hard to get them into another server. Starting from scratch is probably the only option in my mind if you can't get the SQL database for the old servers which are now down. You should be able to identify which plugins you used from previously downloaded packages if you have any. Ed

You could try using Chris's App Copier Plugin if you still have your bt_config.txt files: http://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/plugin.php?pid=93D709C2D88A587EEBC4A5C You may have to host the files on a server to get this plugin to work, I am not sure. Jake

http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=F895A4F9A638AB418A6009A&fid=06DB0BCB08E1010&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=13 From the above post it looks like http://www.theappcode.com/ or http://appd.com/ just sells their self hosted buzztouch for a fee and they are the only ones that have the database. Thats a shame. They dont mention buzztouch or David Book anywhere. What does their "Team" actually do??hah thats crazy. I suggest you use buzztouch to make apps. You would have to buy all the plugins and an account. You'll get way more support because more people know what they're doing here... Plus almost everyone here helps for free

Chris, Surely what these people are doing is against the Terms and Conditions of the self hosted server software - I am sure I read about not doing what they're doing somewhere... Update: I did! Points 4 and 5 in the Do Not's https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Guidelines%20for%20Self-Hosting.pdf Ed

Thank you all, yes Appcode was a crazy experience... So it seems I have to start from scratch... As I have all BT-files is there a way at least to check there or in XCode WHICH plugins i used (as i dont remember well) - so i know which one I need to buy again? Regards

I used to be The App Code member once. They were not that bad as they suggested certain system of app research, marketing etc. together with Buzztouch-based control panel. They didn't hide the fact, that their app-development part was based on Buzztouch, that was actually where I found out about the Buzztouch - it was mentioned in all the files and I think in control panel as well. That's a shame they finished so badly. It was obvious they would't last as they started to delay with plugin upgrades, support became poor. I am lucky I had only a couple of apps hosted there

In iOS the project has plugins folder and under android under red > layouts. Yea from thw post above it says they don't hide it.they could at least just sell their marketing skills.seen someone accidently post on the forum their website builder with the "powered by buzz touch" removed Ed..same thing I was thinking Happy app building!

Well, at this time I didn't know they did this illegally. There should be some system in place to trace such kind of behaviour.
