New App live in App Store

If you want a code to have a play let me know. Cheers David, Parker and that other gent (I'm joking Stephen, I know who you are!) http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/talking-scotsman/id453153538?ls=1&mt=8 The Talking Scotsman in your pocket! Ever wanted to have a wee Scotsman in your pocket? Who hasn't after all? Well now you can for a single American dollar of your earth money, Aipple Media brings you the Talking Scotsman app! Even if you haven't seen 'So I Married An Axe Murderer' you'll love the soundbites and phrases and the handy dictionary to help you navigate the unique patter and banter of Scotland. With quizzes covering People, Places, Gaelic and History you can test your lack of knowledge and fail with the best.

I would totally love a code! (MrkFleming @ gmail dot com). It's kinda ironic that you did this app...my nephew and I have been talking in a fake Scottish accent since a few weeks before Thanksgiving, when we all had to travel to Oregon for a funeral (we didn't talk that way for the funeral). We totally thought about doing an app like this...good thing we didn't! Yours looks amazing! Mark

Aipple Media, I have downloaded all your free apps and was trying to purchase the talking scotsman but the search field from my iPad populates with the name but when clicking it it advances and indicates item not found. I was curious about your Apple experiences because I wanted to see what could be done with BT in development. Have you used BT to develop all your apps? Also It appears that the talking scotsman is your first charge the public app. Did you find the process of listing an app with a price tag more challenging to get approved with apple. I will continue to try to purchase your app to see what apple is allowing. good job but curious about being all created with BT platform Joe

GoNorthWest - You have mail! I'm Scottish, been here for 7 or so yrs, the US that is. Going to keep building this one up, recipes, travel etc and I have loads more soundbites recorded so will update app this weekend hopefully. Joe Sprott - The iTunes store takes a few hours to show it in search, believe it is there now, have a peek! I have another App, Banksy, that is a paid app, needs an update but had paid for a good few car repairs. Distributing with a price in theory should be easier since Apple see revenue for themselves! Seriously though, the process wasn't really different, it was in review for around 70 mins then live in store. Waited to go to review for 8 days which is the longest I've waited but there was a little thing called Thanksgiving involved in that time. Don't expect too much and you'll not be disappointed, plan on sending another App in within the next two weeks, another paid one, similar to Banksy but for a different field. Think it will do well. More on that later! Have a good weekend all!

Nice work! I will have to check it out. I was curious about the paid side. Did you do the entire app in BT, or is there custom code involved. Jim

Essentially it is all BT code yeah. Few changes here and there to cue up sound bites and so on. The galleries are all stored on my box not BT and whenever user galleries get a few uploads I whack it with a script in Photoshop to resize into phone friendly format.
