iOS v1.5 App hangs when calling for streaming video without internet access

I've got a v1.5 iOS app that has several streaming video screens. Everything obviously works fine when I have internet access on either the simulator or my test devices. But I wanted to see what would happen if the device did not have internet. To test, I put my device in airplane mode and launched my app. When I go to the menu with the streaming video files, I can click on any one of them, and it tries to launch the video player, but bounces right back to the menu (ok, makes sense). BUT, if I try again by clicking on any other video, it goes to a black screen and stays there indefinitely (no video player overlay, etc). Only the very top status bar is visible. And there's no way to refresh, or go back. If I exit the app and relaunch, it of course starts at the black screen and stays there. I can force quit the app and relaunch, but I don't want that to be the only solution. Even if I re-enable internet and go back to the app, it doesn't start working or try to refresh. I have a disclaimer on the top of the video menu that says the streaming videos require internet access, but I'm afraid having this kind of hang up could cause a problem going through the app review. Any ideas?
