My first app compile - lots of issues

My first app developed with buzztouch - compiled and ran successfully in the simulator using Xcode 4.2 - but I got 32 issues of the following general types: Implicit conversion from enumeration type 'UITableViewCellSelectionStyle' to different enumeration type 'UITableViewCellAccessoryType' Incompatible pointer types assigning to 'NSMutableData *' from 'NSData *' Expression result unused Extra tokens at end of #import directive Conversion specifies type 'int' but the argument has type 'OSStatus' (aka 'long') >>Does this look familiar to anyone? I would appreciate any help. Thanks. Tom

Hi Tom, What target iOS version are you using? I typically target for iOS 3 and above, and that seems to remove any errors I get. Plus, it allows for the greatest number of people to install my app. Mark

Same here, although my codes run successfully on simulator and mobile devices. I got the issues errors. Will that be an issue if this app is to be submitted to App Store Review? Sally

If the app compiles and runs fine, then it may not be an issue. I'm honestly not sure what Apple's policy is with respect to shipping apps that have compile warnings in them. Just out out of curiosity...what target iOS level are you both using? Also...it would appear that you are both using BT v1.4, and not v1.5. I would highly recommend that you apply for the Early Adopter program...lots more features in v1.5! You can apply from the My Account tab. Mark

Thank you, Sally and Mark. I believe I am on the early adapter list now - how do I switch to BT version 1.5 ??

Hi Tom, When you go to create your app, you are given a choice...v1.4 on the left, and v1.5 on the right. I would go with v1.5 strictly, unless you have a compelling reason to stay on v1.4. And, apps that have been created in v1.4 need to be recreated in v1.5 if you want to upgrade...you can't migrate any other way (has to be created from scratch). Mark

Thanks Mark, am on Version 1.4. Thanks for the note to re-create on v1.5, not sure there is a chance that export and import of codes when using new version is available soon. I like the fact that when i update the online interface, it is automatically populated over to the mobile devices. Very smart! Thanks guys for sharing your thoughts.

Mark, to answer your question, I am creating a mobile app for iPhone from BuzzTouch and running on xCode 4.

Hi Sally, In v1.5 you have the same update online which populates to the device as you do in v1.4. But, there are so many new features and general coolness with v1.5 that it's really worth using instead of v1.4! Mark
