So, one of two things happening here. a) You don't have the Android / Google Maps Libraries installed in your Eclipse setup. b) You are compiling against Anroid 2.2 and not Google 2.2 Android Libraries. Big difference. In your project window, in Eclipse, expand the little arrrow to expose which libraries. It should show Google API's not Android API's.
