No screens to display error - BT 2.1.2

Hi there, For some reason I cannot get over the No screens to display error. - See screenshot http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10939844/screen-capture.png I have the latest BT server version installed and the latest plugins. I created the app, uploaded the icon, made a few test screens just to have something to look at, downloaded the zip, open the xcode project file, dragged the missing folders to Xcode - See screenshot http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10939844/screen-capture-1.png set the base SDK and deployment target to 5.0 Finally ran it through the iPhone 5.0 simulator The log is outputting a strange message, I think: [2852:207] testinggg_appDelegate: appModified.txt does not exist in the cache. Not checking for updates. I appreciate any given help or idea. Thanks, Vali

Hey Vali - I had the same issue and I discovered a couple of things. When opening up the zip file I opened two folders I picked the wrong folder and got the error. So I changed that. I also re-downloaded a current source code and matched everything up to my server, control panel and xcode. I did this because I noticed that all three didn't match up. getting the No screens to display error Just make sure those three match up XCODE = SERVER CONTROL PANEL= DOWNLOADED FOLDER It's like untangling a bunch of rope sometimes! :) Now I have color coded all my files an trying to make sure everything is nice and neat. Also I made sure that I went to Product>Clean>Build and everything cleaned up nicely. Hope that helps -Sheri

Also...does the BT_config.txt file in the downloaded project contain a list of screens? The 'no screens' message is caused by the JSON data not having any screens in the list. In other words, what is the home screen? What are the other screens? They are all described in the BT_config.txt file in the download. This file in the project should exactly match the config data you see in the conrol panel when you use the Show Configuration Data link in any apps control panel.

Hey Dave...I think that we have another issue here. I had a problem with my simulator not viewing in 4.3 only 5... as mentioned in this post: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=D884CAA18B1632BA8D9F0C4&status=&searchInput=search...&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&doViews=1 What I found out that yes, everything has to match. I had to go to the Configuration Data in the control panel and then cut and past to config.txt in xcode. Making sure everything matched things are now running on 4.3 and 5 which awesome but I get a code like this: 2011-11-22 23:10:33.610 nacquizapp[26601:13703] BT_fileManager: saveTextFileToCacheWithEncoding: appModified.txt encodingFlag: -1 2011-11-22 23:10:33.610 nacquizapp[26601:13703] nacquizapp_appDelegate: appModified.txt does not exist in the cache. Not checking for updates. 2011-11-22 23:10:34.178 nacquizapp[26601:13703] BT_screen_splash: animating splash screen Which leads me to believe that there is something else missing since Moofa and I both get similar messages....any thoughts? -thanks a million :) Sheri

The three console messages look normal. When the app first loads (for the the first time), it hits the reportToCloudURL and grabs the last modified date. It saves this. Because it's the first time it has ever got this date, it does not do anything, just save it. If you move the app to the background while it's running, then bring it to the front again, it will check for updates again. Next, animatingSplashScreen is good, note the file that this message was posted from: BT_screen_splash, this means the splash screen (UIViewController in iOS or Activity in Android) is loading and animating away. What the splash screen looks like it another matter all together. So, from this post, I dont' see anything wrong. Are you still getting the 'no scsreens to dipslay' message or is something else not as expected.

Well little seems to be working for me. I get what's below and now changes are showing up on the application... This is with v2.0 of the framework. When I try 1.5 it does not even compile... Should I just move to PhoneGap? 2012-03-09 23:49:14.296 albertotestapp[39734:13703] albertotestapp_appDelegate: applicationDidBecomeActive 2012-03-09 23:49:14.297 albertotestapp[39734:13703] albertotestapp_appDelegate: reportToCloud 2012-03-09 23:49:14.297 albertotestapp[39734:13703] BT_strings: mergeBTVariablesInString (after merge): http://www.buzztouch.com/api/app/?command=reportToCloud&appGuid=JA5B5565CA4C4547F244FCBA8&apiKey=03756F1B4BF3CDF7F6D2D08&apiSecret=F6E3CCDFF23FB13F110FD18&deviceId=7380614B-3A8D-4D56-A921-F397F5B87A45&deviceLatitude=0&deviceLongitude=0&deviceModel=iPhone Simulator&userId= 2012-03-09 23:49:14.297 albertotestapp[39734:13703] albertotestapp_appDelegate: reporting to cloud at : http://www.buzztouch.com/api/app/?command=reportToCloud&appGuid=JA5B5565CA4C4547F244FCBA8&apiKey=03756F1B4BF3CDF7F6D2D08&apiSecret=F6E3CCDFF23FB13F110FD18&deviceId=[deviceId]&deviceLatitude=[deviceLatitude]&deviceLongitude=[deviceLongitude]&deviceModel=[deviceModel]&userId=[userId] 2012-03-09 23:49:14.761 albertotestapp[39734:13703] albertotestapp_appDelegate: lastModified (value on server): Sat, 10 Mar 2012 04:46:41 -0800 2012-03-09 23:49:14.761 albertotestapp[39734:13703] BT_fileManager: File does exist in cached directory: appModified.txt 2012-03-09 23:49:14.762 albertotestapp[39734:13703] BT_fileManager: readTextFileFromCacheWithEncoding: appModified.txt encoding: -1 2012-03-09 23:49:14.762 albertotestapp[39734:13703] albertotestapp_appDelegate: previousModified (value on device): Sat, 10 Mar 2012 04:46:41 -0800 2012-03-09 23:49:14.762 albertotestapp[39734:13703] BT_fileManager: saveTextFileToCacheWithEncoding: appModified.txt encodingFlag: -1
