configuration data

I spent some time (my first time trying to edit configuration data) updating the Configuration Data in the BT console. I was changing the name of many Nav Bar titles. But my changes never stuck. I dont see any save buttons or anything. So I am missing something obvious. Should I be making edits directly in the configuration data in the BT console? Or do I need to paste the configuration data info into a word processor, make the changes, then paste it back in?

No problem. I tried it hoping it would work. I was trying to make changes to numerous Nav Bar titles and it lets me make the changes. But doesnt save it. Not sure if I am missing something obvious?

The nav bar title is just changed within the options on the individual pages, yeah? Is that what you are doing are you editing the code to change multiple ones at once?

Yes, I was trying to change numerous ones at once using find and replacing the info with a generic title. I had made hundreds of custom url screen with individual navbartitle names but then decided they should have a generic name. So I thought it would be easier to edit the code. But when I make a change to the code/config data, it does not save my changes. It may be that you cant make changes in the config data. Not sure.

Ah, makese sense. Seems like you should be able to change anything in Xcode though.

Thats for sure. But for the sake of version control I thought it would be best to keep the apps original design on BT. I suppose if we were allowed to mess with the config data on BT a lot of us might end doing some damage.

@Racer X; The Configuration Data screen shows you the results of your control panel settings. It is not editable this window. The idea is that you can (if you want to) copy this data, save it as a text file, then plop in on a DropBox or other backend server. It's edited with the individual screen settings. When you 'save' a screen this Config Data window will show you the updated results.

Thanks David, that makes complete sense. Thank you and everyone else at BT for all that you do for us.
