I have ben working with the iOS and xcode sim, For reasons unknown to me I can never seem to get the control panel changes to reflect on the simulator I will tick on the refresh and always says 'having trouble downloading data please try again I will start and stop and restart the sim but to no avail! any idea's Thank you

a little more info on this; I am using only 4 plugins and a tabbed layout, as of right now the only screen that shows is the location screen, but i deleted that (location screen)10 minutes ago? wonder why it does not refresh? {result:{status:invalid, errors:[{message:Invalid API Credentials (6)}]}} this error shows when trying to look at configuration data, also my app is showing its a version 1.5...s that right?

If you're (were) seeing the location screen, you were seeing at least two screens, the home screen and the location screen. Have you tried closure of the simulator and launching it?

Hi MarkCo, Would you mind going through the process you went through to get your app running? Something sounds funny and I'd like to hear the steps you have been taking. Please start with how you've been downloading your project files.

@Fred yes I have tried to relaunch.. No luck there, Ty though. @ Parker ..first I started completely fresh with a new upiload of bt-server to my host last week. I had been experiencing this issue since the start of self hosting and felt a newly uploaded server file might help. After deleting the bt folder from my host via filezilla (client) i was shocked as i must of deleted more files than I wanted, my ftp panel was almost empty with only 5 out 30+ directories left standing, not sure what happened there... i only selected the bt server directory right clicked and chose delete, ( via filezilla) anyway....i then restored my host files to a earlier time from backup  (4 days prior) which left me with a old version of bt server in my root directory, fine np , i download the newest version, upload it to my server, install and go,( deleting install folder) update all plugins. -on Mac, download my app files, mac automatically unzips,(<--- might have to change that setting) double click xcode project file..Xcode opens, drag in additional 5 folders, choose iPhone 5 sim> run.  Maybe this procedure causes issue with API key? And therefore the lack of real time updating with control panel? But this was also happening prior to me crashing my domain server..the refresh seems to always time out with a connection error. When looking at your server control panel, go to Admin > Server Settings > buzztouch Server 2.0™ Registration. Does your API key validate? If not you may have to reenter the values generated from buzztouch.com where you created your key. Or create a new key. There should be a link to do so on that screen. Also, it doesn't appear that you can manually download project files for buzztouch server at this time. Loading v1.5 projects into the server won't work as the server is expecting plugins and not screens. There are some subtle differences but they do create problems. So you will need a functioning API key.

Just to clarify: I am running this on my host server at godaddy I have been able to validate the api, it is verified and was ok. Since i really didn't have to much going on with the app that was there (version1.5) --I went ahead and deleted those files and started from the beginning. I have the new project loaded into xcode and the sim running, the app icon is on the screen of the sim, I went ahead and created a splash screen with some animation/transperency and also manually put that image file into the image folder in xcode project. The splash screen shows up very quickly and then disappears without the animation-timing effects i set into place on the control panel. I also created a menu ( this is for a japanese rest.) with 4 row titles (setting row parameters within the control panel such as height and so forth), and after the splash screen i thought this would be the next screen I see...but I do not see it, just a black empty sim When looking at the .m file for the splash plugin I noticed that none of the preferences I chose on the control panel are syncing with or within my excode project. Am i right in thinking that this should occur automatically when I save any changes within the control panel and then reload/refresh the sim?(clicking on app) also noticing the manage core properties>configuration data url>show the apps config data | returns 404 error (when clicked)
