Xcode 4 Distribution!!!!!

Arrrgh! I have been using xcode 3 since starting my development a little over a year ago. I have been more than happy with xcode 4,3 but since upgrading my phone and iPad to iOS5 (i wish I never had by the way), i've not been able to test on my phone with 4,3 so relied on the kids ipods and wifes phone and not been able to develop on the ipad at all. So, today I decided to remove xcode 3 and load xcode 4. I now remember why i got rid of it last time I tried it! I simp,y cant codesign for distribution. I set the code signing in builds correctly, build with no issues but when i right click the products app reveal in finder, the only think visible is debug iphoneos , no distribution at all. Anyone able to shed some light please, this time i'm determined to crack 4. Many, many thansk in advance.

I had a similar problem but found a way to get mine working on ios 5. On the area with codesigning you should see an area that says arma7 just edit that to arma6 and below it type arma7. Shoul be: arma6 arma7 I'm currently away from home but can take screenshot later today to help.

Not sure that's the issue. When I build the project the distribution option doesn't reveal in finder. So any app wouldn't get rejected as the distribution binary isn't visible in the first place?!

To build for distribution you must do the following (from my experience): 1. Create the app in your iTunes connect. 2. Download the distribution certificate and drag it into your keychain access. 3. Under Project - Build Settings - Code Sign - click the arrow and click iPhone Distribution. Do the same for Target - otherwise it won't work. I hope that helps you out since it is all I can remember at the moment.
