code sign error assistance

Ive searched for this issue and while ive found threads that are the same as my problem, the resolution apparently is different as i cant get my app to upload. was hoping someone would be able to figure out whats wrong with my code sign error. Exact error is warning: Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an iPhone Distribution Certificate. (-19011) Id be willing to skype to where someone could take a look or if this is a simple fix. Thanks

Hi in Orlando. I'll be able to give this some attention tomorrow eve if it's not figured out by then. Can't look into it until then though. If my memory serves me well, you've been down this 'upload to itunes' path before and had it figured out. With that in mind, maybe something weirds going on with the provisioning profile you signed with? You could try... a) Be sure the build settings in BOTH the project and the target are set with the right provisioning profile from Apple. This is the App Store provisioning pofile. b) You could remove the profile all together then re-install the one you downloaded from apple. Download it, drag it over the Xcode icon. For a), it's highlight the project name in Xcode, set the provisioning profile. Then, hightlight the target name in Xcode and do the same thing. Both of these need to be set and setting one does not necessarily set the other.

Hey just did this today, myself! 1. Get a provisioning profile for your attached device and download it and import it into the provisioning profiles from the devices tab in Organizer. 2. Go to your project in XCode. Click on the project itself (leftmost column), look at 2nd column- says project and targets 3. Code signing must be setup for both the project and the targets; choose your distribution profile in the project, setup your developer profile in the targets. 4. Now try to build/run to the iOS device. It was voila! for me, hopefully it'll work for you too.
