Evilfud Lost but trying Posts: 2 Reg: Nov 16, 2011 Indiana 20	confirm \| cancel 11/17/11 11:20 PM (14 years ago) No files or folders in the /files direcotry Ok i have installed the 2.1.1 to my server but i have no real images and i get errors when trying to upload a package. I have figured out that the files missing are from within the /files directory mine has nothing in it. I have re downloaded the server files and it doesnt seem to have anything in that directory can someone help me out with this. The idea is that the install process creates several folders in the /files folder on your site. /files/temp, /files/applicaitons, /files/plugins, etc. This is why the /files directory needs to be 'writable' by PHP. Sounds to me like the install process didn't complete because the /files folder isn't writable by PHP. The installation process has been reliable to this point and should have warned you or prompted you if it could not create the necessary folders inside /files.
