youtube in iOS links to channel not specific video

I have made an app that links a lot of different videos from youtube. It works great in Android, but when I run it in iOS (both sim and my device) it sends me to the channel, not to the specific video I linked. I double checked the links, and tried to cut and paste into safari on my mac and that works fine. Is it possible to link to a specific video? What am I missing? BTW- I am extremely impressed with Buzztouch. I still find it hard to believe that I went from knowing little to nothing about mobile apps, to having functioning apps on the Android Market and submitted to App Store in less then a week.

Hi Crown...glad you're stoked - and you're on the old version! I highly recommended clicking the Early Adopter link in your control panel so you can start taking advantage of buzztouch v1.5. It's much more flexible and dynamic and will allow you far greater control over your creativity. Onward...YouTube. iOS does some crazy things with YouTube and sort-of takes over the process when URL's include 'youtube' With that being said, there are few approaches you could try. a) Figure out how to use actual videos, not YouTube videos. Lots of folks have figured out how to download vidoes, save them in an online directory, then point to your now 'owned' URL that doesn't point to YouTube. We don't necessarily condone this, just being transparent in the idea that it happens. b) RSS: You could try experiementing with an RSS feed from YouTube and see what iOS does. c) Backend script. If you start using v1.5 you can do all sorts of backend magic. This approach allows you to place specially formatted text files (see the docs) in web-enabled locations, such as DropBox, to power screens. This approach is super-duper flexible. Lastly, as soon as you get stoked on v1.5 you'll probably want to take the next step after that. Download buzztouch Server, host it on a site, take complete control ;-) Welcome aboard.

Just a heads up to anyone else with this issue. I was able to link to the specific video by linking to the video from the main page of youtube. (not from the video's channel) Anytime the youtube link included the channel in any part it would take you to the front page of the channel, not the correct video. Jim
