splash screen

Need help with splash screen. I've created the splash screen, left the default png. Added splash screen to my global theme. Still no success. What am I missing?

Dunno. Seems like you've done the required steps. iOS / Android are basically the same. a) Open the output console when the app launches in Xcode / Eclipse b) Tons of stuff will print to the console (Called LogCat in Eclipse) c) Take a bit to scroll through the output. It's a bit intimidating but worth understanding. d) It will show you what confugration file it's using (in xcode, from control panel, etc) e) If your Splash Screen is included in the theme it's using it will be the first screen that shows. Something simple...just need to figure out where it's not being applied.

This is my two cents, but I've found that not using BTs Splash Screen option (no offense, David...just works better for me the other way!) and replacing the Default.png image with what I want the Splash Screen to be, works much better (this is for iOS...not Android). Default.png, which is currently a black PNG image, always loads first...much like what we want to accomplish with a splash screen. This is what I do with all my apps, and it works pretty well. I replace all the Default*.png files in BT_Images with the same image, appropriately sized, and everything works great! Mark

I realize this is an older post topic but it is a current issue for me. In Android v2.0 I have created a image named splashscreen.png, created a "screen" in the control panel, linked it to the theme and when I click on the app icon what is happening is a black screen appears, seems to take several seconds and then goes to my main non-tabbed simple menu. I added the image to my BT_Docs file in the source code on Dropbox and updated the BT_Config.txt prior to testing. For kicks I also tried renaming the image as default.png to see if that did anything but no luck. I am testing the app on my phone. Any ideas?
