Apps for interactive stories/books (edgy children's stories)?

Hi, I'm new here. Building an app for a children's book/story. Lots of colorful images, some text, should have an audio option (read along and/or songs) and some interactive activities. The app needs to be engaging and fun for anyone eight years old and up, especially geared toward adults too, as these stories have some bite to them and humor for non-children (not counting mentally) out there as well. I'm an early adaptor, but would like to see some examples on BuzzTouch that might have some of what I'm after. Examples that will help me learn. Any advice or links to similar apps made here would be much appreciated! Thanks.

hmm you could put photos and text into a series of jpg files in an image gallery. I think you could probably get audio to play autometically per jpg as well. Not to sure about more interactivity, unless you do a quiz or use the custom HTML template?

Check out this thread. Steve has an interesting solution. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=7C9A677B8B33F4BE4CBD6E7&status=&searchInput=Book&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&doViews=1 Also if you do a search for 'book' in the forum, you'll find several threads that may help.

Thanks for the advice! I'll check the thread out. The concept will be the story (pages) with images and text, and if possible, another option with a 'read along' version, plus some more buttons going into a few of the characters, and where they live: facts, fun info, and any interactive ideas I can implement with not to much fuss considering I'm only so-so with HTML. Plus a link to a webpage, of course. Any other suggestions or advice is always welcomed. Once I get farther down the road, I'll post links and try and talk about what worked for me, what didn't, what was difficult, what wasn't and so on.

A few more questions: 1. Can I change the direction of the 'curl' transition? I want it to curl from the right side of the screen to the left, like a page in a book. 2. I'm using an image gallery right now for a 15 pages story (hopeful the best choice). How hard is it to resize images (if it is possible) after loading them? 3. Down the road, I'd like to sync audio with the images, one small audio file (reading the story text) per image, with the option for turing the audio on or off. Anyone have experience with that? Sorry for all the newbie questions. Learning as I go here, swimming through the forums. Thanks!
