server 2.1.1 - Download source code error

When I tried to download the source code i get this Download Source-Code for onlinesavers Something Went Wrong. There was a problem parsing the JSON result? Any ideas why

iOS or Android? Tough to say, haven't seen this before (yet?). What happens when you click the 'check for updates' button on the Admin > Maintenance screen? I ask because the logic is similiar and if that doesn't work either it'll help diagnose.

(also lets wait and see if anyone has this problem if no complaints then we know its on my side... What i also noticed is that when i updated the plugin's the top part of the screen went blank and had to scroll down to see the refresh button... Thanks again..

Hmm...mabe there's a problem with one or more of the plugins you have installed? I just built a few apps from my control panel (a test panel running v2.1.1) without any trouble. I'm guessing funky with your plugins. Maybe have a look at each plugins admin panel and exercise the links and such to see if something feels 'broken' - dunny. Good idea, we'll sit on it a bit and see if anyone else struggles.

Same issue David. I even stripped the app down to just a splash screen and site url. JSON error on android and ios. Also this error Something Went Wrong. There was a problem unzipping the package delivered by the buzztouch API Hope feedback helps.

This does help. I'll dig in. If you are both having troubles...somethings for sure broken. I'll assume you all have the latest plugins installed. I'll be sure i have the same ones installed then report back.

OK. I've tested a bunch of stuff on this end and can't reproduce any issues. Not sure what's happening and will need one of you guys to help. The idea is that we need to see what's being returned to your control panel after clicking 'download the code'. We'll need to start by entering a URL in the browser that triggers the API call. This is the same URL that's magically loaded when you click the Download button. We're doing the same thing but will be able to see the results... http://www.yourdomain.com/BT-server/bt_v15/bt_app/bt_appDownload_AJAX.php?appGuid=appIdFromContrrolPanel&whatPlatform=ios If one of you could type this in your address bar (copy / paste) and screen shot the results, or report them it would be very helpful. Change the domain name and replace the appIdFromContrrolPanel with an app id from your control panel. You can see the app id in the address bar when you're working with an app. Lets' see what we get.

OK, need somebody to hit this URL on their box and report the results. Change the domain name and replace the appIdFromControlPanel to an actual app id in your panel. You can see the APP id in the address bar when working with an app. http://www.yourdomain.com/BT-server/bt_v15/bt_app/bt_appDownload_AJAX.php?appGuid=AppIdFromConrolPanel&whatPlatform=ios Requesting that URL does the exact same thing as clicking the download code button. It's step 1 to see what's being returned from buzztouch.com. We may or may not need another step ;-) Lemme know what you get.

Close. Append the &whatPlatform=ios to the end. You could also use &whatPlatform=android

Great find in Spokane (go Gonzaga!!!). I've sent both of you a file to replace in your install. We'll need to make sure we have this nailed before realsing an entire project update. I say this because we've only heard the issue from the two of you and the code-adjustments I made should only change how the errors are being reported and not what the API returned to your control panels. The adjustments were very necessary and your find's were needed. The code wasn't doing a very good job of capturing errors and now does. So, check your email, update the file, see what happens. When one of you replies we'll know if we have it and will release an entire project update to the large crowd of self-hosters. Back to the next plugin (my project oh-the-night)...Custom HTML screens ...

OK. Have @ Fonseca fixed up and understand exactly what as happening. The server in that case was preventing the use of a built in PHP function php_uname() that is used in the .zip packaging process. I'm not convinced that this is @ RxPublishing problem so we'll wait for that report via email with the newly updated source. Could be the same thing, dunno without seeing more. I'll update the public release with this fix either way.

Thanks again for all you do! Sheri
