Has anyone got BT Server 2.01 to work??

Hi Everyone, Messing around with BT Server, all menu options are available so I figure their was no bad install. I can't get the screens to work (after installing multiple plugins) - unless I am doing something wrong here? I go to Application List -- click the application -- click screens/actions on the left menu click list view -- it shows 2 screens I made, Call Us and Splash Screen -- click Call Us -- and nothing shows up. Also has anyone compiled code? I am just curious where BT Server stands - perhaps the BT team can address this.

Can't write much...running out for a bit. But..lots of folks are using it with relative success. As far as the self-hosted package goes, should work without any errors. There are some issues with the packaging process that we're literallly working out as we speak. So, packaging process may be a bit jenky until we iron out some details but what you uploaded to your server should work fine. Question: 'nothing shows up' when you click a link to manage one of the screens you setup. When you're looking at your list of screens, every link goes to that plugins index.php page. In other words, because every screen you create is based on a plugin, that plugin has it's own directory. The link leads to /plugins/PLUGIN NAME/index.php So...if nothing's loading...what's happening? blank? error? Not sure what's happening without more info. Sounds to me like /index.php in the plugins directory isn't loading for whatever reason. If this is the case, what's the file permissions on the /files/plugin directory? Did you use the Admin panel to upload plugins or did you use FTP? Lots of things COULD be happening here...seems like it outta be an easy one to figure out? Back later..

Hi David, Thanks for your quick response. OK, so lets use Splash Screen for instance. I click that, it opens a NEW tab in my browser with the link below. Absolutely nothing on the screen shows up - totally blank. http://www.christopherterterian.com/BT-server/files/plugins/bt_screen_splash/?appGuid=EAECCFB60FDE924B5F2152872&BT_itemId=06FAB51A734B166F3D55AAF&searchInput=search...&appGuid=EAECCFB60FDE924B5F2152872&sortColumn=I.modifiedUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&viewStyle=listView&searchPluginTypeUniqueId= Permission on /files/plugins folder is 755. Permission on /files folder is 777. I am using the Admin panel and uploading the zip files. All plugins uploaded no problems and description of them, icon, displays fine. Thanks everyone for your help.

SImulator issues are realted to the PACKAGING process. We're working some issues out today and put a note about this in the control panel. Feel free to tinker around but DO expect all sort of compiler issues with Android in the sim. Control panel: You may not see anything but for sure something's being delivered to the browser; Any idea what this is: <!-- SHTML Wrapper - 500 Server Error --> If you look at your 'blank' page you'll see that's being returned. Have no idea what SHTML Wrapper is? Gonna have to do some debugging on your part I guess? Was this working before 2.0.1, in theory nothing changed between the last few version that would effect how it works at it's core. Why would some pages run and not others? Weird. Finger typing....back in few hours.

@David I found out this: In a forum it says: Apparently bluehost configured their servers not to execute anything if the directory and/or file is set to have permissions above 744. The default permissions that the server sets for all new files and dirs are 644 so you can use that too. Nathan T.: [11:58:01 AM] Yup that is correct :) [11:58:08 AM] 744 for folders and 644 for files

Could the plugins be creating new files with different permissions? I am checking the permissions right now.

GOT IT TO WORK. I checked all issues and had to change file permissions. Turns out that the BT_splash-screen was set to 0766 for all files and had to be 0755.
