transparent row

Hi, I would like to know if it is somehow possible to make the rows background transparent. Sometimes I have a nice background for the screen but I cannot read the txt very well, and the solid bckg covers the image completely. Any idea how to get around it? thanks Mike

Hi Mackimack, thank you for answering so quickly. I have done that in a few other places already and it works, but the problem remains. If its completely transparent like that the txt of the row gets confused with the bckg photo, while if I could control the transparency of the row background as I can do with the screen bckg, the problem would be solved cause I could have a semi transparent black (or other) row whith the txt nice and clear but the bckg image stil in view and not cut off. You know what I mean? Thanks Mike

Sounds like your problem isn't making the rows transparent, but rather being able to read the text on top of your custom background, right? You may need to experiment with some custom fonts for the menu text - perhaps something with a 'stroke', or play with the font color. There are good instructions in the forum about using a custom font for menus.

Ye I hear you, bu I find a bit hard to find a colour that works through all the picture, since I don't have control of the single rows. Most of the times parts of the txt is readable, some not. It's not how to make a row transparent that I need to know (I figured that out) is just how to control the transparency of the row background. Maybe it is easier in the code? M
