Quiz doesn't work in Android

I gotta say, once I figured out how to compile an app in Android, it flowed a lot smoother, for me at least, using Eclipse than it did in XCode. One issue though. My quiz worked fine on my iPhone emulator and on my iPod when I tested it there, but it's not working on either the Android emulator or on my Android phone. Believe me, I tried doing a search for this, and I tried reading the documentation, because I know what a hassle it is for y'all helping ignorant folks like me all the time, but I couldn't find anything. Specifically, the icon for the quiz isn't even there in the tabbed menu, but the word Quiz is. When you click the Quiz area, it shuts down and says: Sorry1 The application APP NAME (process.com.APPNAME) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Another thing I noticed is that the back buttons aren't on the menu screens that I created. Any suggestions? I could technically create a totally separate app for the Android, and just keep two browsers open and copy and paste some of the details until it's right, but I'm wondering if I should download and recompile to see if I get any errors. When I compiled it in Eclipse, I didn't get any errors that shut down the compile process. Ideas?

Is your app created in version 1.5? If so, the quiz is one of the features not supported yet.

Ohhhhhh - gotcha. What's the best way for me to do a workaround? - build a new app for the Android - wait for functionality of the quiz in 1.5 - install Buzztouch server (is the quiz for Android supported on Buzztouch server)?

Or is there a way in the Android project, in Eclipse, I guess, that I can basically rem the quiz out of the app, for the Android only? I'm going old school, like you used to put a REM statement, you know? :) Is that possible, to disable the quiz in Eclipse so that it would still be a part of the functionality of the app on iOS, but not Android? That would be the easiest solution, I guess, if it's possible.

I haven't tried this, but you should be able to edit your BT_config.txt file in your Android project. It's in the 'assets' folder. Delete the section of the menu that loads the quiz. It will look something like this: {itemId:F732BC3E15A71AB01754262, itemType:BT_menuItem, loadScreenWithItemId:A96F3F7338AE368CF98DEA2, loadScreenWithItemType:quiz, loadScreenTypeLabel:Multiple Choice Quiz, iconName:trivia2_icon.png, titleText:My Trivia}, If you do this, you'll also need to disconnect the app from BT and make it a stand alone. Personally, I've just built 1.4 version apps for Android.

BRILLIANT!! I was on the path of making it in 1.4, but this sews it up. For me, this is a better choice than editing the Android project's BT_config.txt file. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the great idea!! Again, I can't say how thrilled I am for great people like you and the entire Buzztouch community, and for Buzztouch itself. This is awesome!!
