Steps to upload to iconnect - need help please

I am on the verge of uploading 2nd app and there has been a gap between each so I thought it would help me & maybe others if I cataqlogged the steps as I have with make a 100% offline. I have hit an impasse with this and would be grateful for any help this is what I have so far: - Steps for Uploading to istore 1) First run xcode with simulator and use shit cmd and 4 to take relevent snapshots of app 2) go to itunes connect and log in a) go to add new app b) add app name, sku number and bundle ID - (help tags on screen for each window) 3)ensure all images and docs are in there repective BT folders and app has been thoroughly tested - Otherwise you make BT apps look bad - and thats just not fair 4)In Xcode a) clean project b) select device not simulator otherwise archive is greyed out Where I have a problem myself is in two areas a) do I choose for codesigning app before archiving my developer profile (with several characters after it) or my distribution profile (with my name after it but no characters) b) In iconnect when setting up for upload of new app the only bundle id option has my name on it and a markxxx-* my bundle id suffix is then requested i looked on info.plist in BT folder but could not see what my suffix or bundle id should be Any help as always would be very gratefully received Regards Mark

I think this is what you are looking for: 1. Test your app on a real device, not just the simulator 2. Take screenshots from real device 3. Your bundle ID must be the exact same one as the one in iTunes Connect 4. Code sign for upload to iTunes Connect after you are done testing the app 5. Go into Organizer and click Submit Application 6. Fill out what is necessary 7. If no errors are present, then wait for Apple to review it (usually 1 week)

Thanks Jake - Your steps are concise and very succinct. I find that there are little hurdles that require a very specific variable or parameter set that can hurdle the less experienced user such as myself and others. My current problem is that I dont know how to check what my bundle ID or suffix to ensure it is correct for app submission. Any help would be much appreciated

Have you added the app to iTunes Connect/Created a distribution profile?

Hello Jake I am at the stage of upload binary on iconnect. I have created an archive on xcode ready to upload. On code signing in build setting i have developer set with name and some numbers and letters after it. I have distribution profile from doing last app should that be selected rather than developer in build and targets, or do you need a new distribution profile for each app. Also how do I check the name of my bundle ID is correct - is there a file in BT folders or is it something that attached to distribution profile. I remember for last one it was com.nameofapp.com. The app is ready to upload and the iconnect is set up for upload. Any help gratefully received.

You should have Distribution selected. In the Manage Applications module, you will find the name of your app. Click on it. Then in the right side, it should show you the Bundle ID In the Target then Summary section of Xcode, it will show the Identifier.
