Confused about json

I've recently learned that something called json can be used to pull pictures from my website (www.shawnsharpphotography.com) to an app. I have no idea how to set it up or to configure either the app or the website. The website is hosted by Smugmug.com so I can post pictues and edit the layout but I can't upload other types of files to the server. I've been to www.json.org and dgrin.com to try and figure it out but I'm having no luck. Anyone have an idea of what to do or where I should start? JSON is another feed format, like rss. smugmug.com generates rss feeds from its galleries, so you can either use the rss feature of Buzztouch to load the photos, or, if you want to use the image gallery, you can probably use yahoo pipes to convert the rss feed to json. You should read the Buzztouch guide for using json feed in the image gallery: http://www.buzztouch.com/docs/v1.5-imageGalleryData.pdf Then try your hand at yahoo pipes. Maybe google converting rss to json.

Ok, thank you! I did find this: https://wiki.smugmug.net/display/API/API+1.3.0 but I have no idea what it means.... I've got so much to learn!
