Some of them say 'it MUST be there fault' then other ones say 'I figured it out' then other ones refer to uploading a picture to the header. The control panel doesn't give you way to upload a picture to a header. Not sure what you're asking. If you want to use an image thats at a URL for the header image, put the URL in the header image URL box, enter the size of the image in the image layout boxes. It will work. If it doesn't work you need to look at the output console in Eclipse (LogCat) to see where the app is looking for the image. Is it downloading the image and not showing it? Is it not downloading it? Open the LogCat output console in eclipse, load the menu that should have the header image, look at the output console's data. We went through great pains to output all sorts of useful information to the LogCat output console so you can see exactly what's happening and what's not happening when something doesn't work the way you wuld expect.
