How do you update an App after you submit it to the Apple/ Android Store

Is this easy to do and is it instant? Also, I have heard that adding a quiz to a small business app greatly increases it's chances of getting approved - Has anyone done this and still had their app rejected? Why? Does anybody have any tips on app marketing? Thanks, K.

Hi K, As for updating your app: There are two ways to do so. The first is through your control panel. If you make changes to your app, and depending on the settings for the properties 'Configuration Data URL' and 'Report to Cloud URL', your end users will be prompted to refresh their app. This happens almost instantly, anytime you update your app through the control panel. The second method is to submit an update for you app to the app store, or Android Market. This typically can take from an hour to a few days. Apple will sometimes reject apps that are purely advertising, or something that could be accomplished through a web app. You can read their Developer Guidelines for more details. But, yes sometimes adding features like a Quiz or something else that makes the app experience unique, or special, can help avoid an app rejection.

Don't you need to change the version name or number if resubmitting (not a change via control panel).
