App will not open in Simulator

However after I hit 'run' to open the project in the IPhone 4 simulator, it brings up the iPhone simulator screen showing my app icon. However, if I try and click on the app to open, it immediately closes again. I'm not sure whats going on or if I'm missing something very basic. I just bought a brand new mac with all the latest versions of X-Code and SDK - Anyone have any idea why my app won't even open? I'm at a road block here! Many thanks!
