Error downloading .doc and .pdf in Android app

I have briefly published an android app using Eclipse which seems to be working fine except it wont open any .doc or .pdf files I have added. The result of clicking one in the android simulator is... Error downloading .doc (or .pdf for my .pdf files) Please check your internet ocnnection then try again. If you're sure you have a good connection, then there may be a problem with the server? The simulator will let me open .jpeg and .html files with no problem It also runs my quizzes and contact info Any suggestions would be welcome. There are a 192 warnings in eclipse, could this be the source of the problem?

Doc and PDF files have not been implemented yet in V1.5 for Android. It should be the next thing out. They have indicated that will be soon. The additional features had been delayed because they wanted to get the BT Server project out to us all. Now they are back on the android track they say...

Hi thanks for the suggestion but I have made the app using Vers 1.4. I'm pretty sure 1.4 does support these files but not sure what I am doing wrong?

I know this is a bit late in replying but I've have recently come across this problem and whilst trying to search the forum for a solution I found this topic. I have just figured out the cause of the 'error downloading pdf' message on an android app v1.4. I had it set up as a link to a PDF via a 'custom URL'. It would download some PDFs absolutely fine but then others I would get the error message. The problem was the url, for example: buzztouch.co.uk/help%20me%20with%20urls.pdf (would not download) but buzztouch.co.uk/helpmewithurls.pdf (would download) So make sure any pdf file names don't have spaces in them. For those who aren't aware if the file name does have a space it is automatically replaced with %20 in a URL. Michelle
