[Fixed] Missing Plugin Error [But]

When I ran my app in Xcode 7.0.1 simulator I was getting the “Missing Plugin: The view Controller……” error. I manually dragged the plugin “.m” file to the “COMPILE SOURCES” list in the project’s “BUILD PHASES” to make it work. Also had to do the same for the image files by dragging them individually to the “Copy Bundle Resources” list. Both BT_Plugins and BT_Images folders were added to the project files before I run the app in simulator. Did something change recently? Is there a reason this is not being done automatically like before?

Louie: I have had the same problems with my new and old apps using XCode 6.4. Not having the tech savvy of some of the BuzzTouch community, I have concluded that the moment Buzztouch will not work for me. I will await with anticipation David's HTML (hybrid?) version of the platform.

Thank you CMCOFFEE for the link. When I typed in "missing plugin error" in buzztouch advance search it only gave me one link a year old. It must be case sensitive.

I thought I'd offer a few idea's to try. When this sort of thing happens to me (which it does from time to time), I make a test app with just one plugin - all it does is display 'hello world' and nothing else. It's deliberately the simplest app I can make, just to prove if my basic xcode setup is OK. I am currently working on a new app for IOS and not encountering this problem. I'm using the same xcode as @newtownapps. And I have never had to drag a file around in 'build phases' to make my project work, so I'm thinking something sounds not quite right with your setup. Or your mac might need a reboot? If a really basic app compiles, might it be that you have a problem with a specific plugin in your project? Alan

Actually the solution I found out was quite simple. Apparently in the latest Xcode update, the default setting was changed from ”create groups." to "create folder references." when dragging folders into the project. As suggested by “Red Dog” in this post, I was able to fix my problem. Thank you all for your help. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=537FA98F3E86C032AD19331&command=isSearching&currentPage=1&topicTitle=missing%20plugin&createdBy=&repliedBy=&minViews=-1&maxViews=-1&minReplies=-1&maxReplies=-1&forumCategory=

Eureka! It worked for me, too. I had been adding the plugins using the "edit" pull down. Now that I dragged and dropped and hit the "create groups" button everything worked fine. Buzztouch has the best developer community--no question about it. David: I hope you can keep your dream alive for many years to come.
