HTML Creator Program? What is everyone using to create screens?

Hi all, Can anyone suggest a good program to create HTML documents. I've tried using the html documents that were converted from docx to HTML and am having a tough time displaying the image within my app. I've literally tried everything. I have a feeling it's the way the conversion is packaging the document. If anyone knows of a good program or has experienced a similar problem, please advise. Thanks.

You know, I've been looking for the same thing... I'm still not 'satisfied', but I'm getting a fair bit of use out of 'Aptana Studio' (v2, not v3) It's Free, and it does HTML, PHP, and a few other things. It also can drop into Eclipse, although I'm using it as a standalone. http://www.aptana.com/ Cheers! -- Smug

I use dreamweaver now but i used to use Taco HTML. Both work fine for me - simple jQuery and the like.

Is it a simple form? Somewhere I can just type as if I were using word and it'll create a HTML page for me. Or do I need to type in code.

The closest thing to ms word is probably in your same office package - ms frontpage.. Unless it's obsolete now?.. *edit* Actually, stupid I forgot... you can save word documents as html.

There is also KompoZer (http://kompozer.net) which is a free WYSIWYG web authoring tool along the dreamweaver lines. Comes in Mac, Windows and Linux flavours. Worth a look for free!

@Whyshirley when you create forms in Kompzer do they work or do you have to create your own php?

I've not actually created any forms with it, but I believe it just does the HTML / CSS I'm afraid and you'd have to code the back end or adapt a script yourself. I've used it for basic HTML pages and putting HTML docs together for BT.

Cool. Think this might work for php to send forms <a href="http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html</a> I might try it out thanks

http://www.sublimetext.com/ Sublime text 2 is great for everything, little learning curve but has so many plugins/addons that you can do any coding with it.

You might try Rapidweaver, it has more of a "hands-off-html" capability than Dreamweaver and the other text editors. RW too has plugins! :-) -- Niraj
