Online Ordering Functionality

Hi - I want to build an app for a small restaurant that has an online ordering functionality - Does anyone know if this can be done using buzz touch? Also, how long does an app normally take to pass the apple approval process. Thanks

You can do something very simple, probably using some external forms like wufoo. You probably won't be able to do something like this: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/chipotle-ordering/id327228455?mt=8 , unless you have knowledge of objective C, but you can use the regular screens to showcase your products and use the location map to display your restaurants. Just a thought M.

Hi Chacka7, Also, the apple approval process generally takes anywhere from 6-14 days. But that can change from week to week.

Would you also maybe know the answer to the following; I want to focus on creating relatively simple apps for small businesses such as restaurants and beauty salons. The main objective is to keep these businesses in touch with their existing customer base by being able to update these clients directly with new offers events etc and also have the functionality to be able to directly call/ email/ make bookings through the apps. Each app will generally have; a home page, a menu page (with full restaurant/ beauty salon menu and prices) a contact us page - (linking to email/ phone number/ bookings), a find us page (linking to google maps), a connect with us page - (linking to facebook, twitter etc), a photo gallery page and a page for offers and upcoming events. However, I have read online that Apple has become reluctant to approve apps that are this simple and dont contain games etc. So, I want to ensure that my apps are likely to pass the approval process before I invest in developing any apps for these business. Do you know if this is true? Also, Do I pay a fee per app submitted or do I only pay the developer fee of 99 and upload as many apps as I ant under that account? Thanks a million for your help!!

All this is possible with BT Now, Apple rejected a few apps that don't take advantage of the iPhone native features. The reality is that all that you have mentioned can be accomplished via a Web app. Some users in this forum have said that sometimes it helps to add something like a quiz, but the truth is that not all your apps are going to make use of quizzes. So you will have to use your own judgement and do some research. You don't pay per app, you just pay the $99 per year Good luck M.
