Do you have any plugins installed to choose from? Admin > Manage Plugins. What's in the list? The list of plugins is what you see in the drop down list on the Add Screen page when workign with an app. If you have no plugins installed (it ships with no plugins) you'll not see any choices to add anything.

OK-Makes sense...But when I go to that area and click add plug-ins I get this error....Forbidden You don't have permission to access /BT-server/admin/plugin_add.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Sounds like you have something wrong in the install. Lots of folks are having trouble like this depending on what their hosts are allowing / not allowing. The trouble's around the .htaccess file in the root of the directory. Remove this file, see if it fixes anything. The APP_PHYSICAL_PATH value in the bt_config table in the database needs to be set to exactly the path on the file system the app is installed in. If this path value is wrong things get screwy. Remove the .htaccess from the root...see what happens. Get the APP_PHYSICAL_PATH value in the database set. Should word. Releases coming fast, daily at this point, maybe re-install the next release too? Tons of folks are having no issues, others some like you describe...transition stage for us all for sure.

Just FYI I just checked the DB and the BT_Config file reflects /home/erdm/public_html/BT-server...sounds right I think! OI also removed the HTACCESS file to no avail...

OK~Thanks to HostGator.......FIXED! Thank you for your patience and exact instructions to reproduce the problem. The way the url is formed after clicking Add or Update plugins it looked like a sql injection attack to mod_security. I have whitelisted the mod_security rule that was being hit for your domain. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Sincerely, Jeff H Linux Systems Administrator HostGator.com LLC http://support.hostgator.com

Exactly the same problem. Contacted hostgator, allowed the guy access to my account, showed him the 404 error pages. He said that it was caused by being flagged as a suspected sql injection, like the post above. Then refused to fix it! The guy said that the above whitelisting shouldn't have been done (I quoted the above post) as it opens the domain up to any genuine sql injection attacks. So if this is the problem, and hostgator refuse to fix it, what do I do now?

Does anyone have any ideas on this problem? I would love to be able to move on with this, but it's not much use if I can't install or update plugins.
