How do you update BuzzTouch Server?

Hello, I have BuzzTouch Server 2.0.2 running on my Web server. The latest version is 2.0.3. Do I need to do a fresh install of 2.0.3, or is there a way to install to the latest version? I tried checking for updates in the admin control panel, but it says no new version is found. Thank you

Looks like you will have to do a manual update. I will wait until tomorrow to see if we hear anything from BT, if not I will re install mañana. M.

I use WinSCP to upload the files, and selected to upload just new or changed files. I then had to run the install program again (which gave me a different screen than the previous install, so I'm confident files got updated), completed that, and was back in business. I've been looking around and can't find a way to verify the current running version, but there are certainly some visible indications that an update has been made. Mark

Mark I assume you deleted all your db tables before re installing, right? M

Actually I didn't. That was probably the wrong move, but I don't see any immediate issues with it. No big deal if it turns out to be required...I have no problems starting from scratch! Mark

No fancy update process yet. If you go through the install process, it's OK but you dont' have to. To update, I would just... a) Save a copy of config.php and everyting in the /files folder. /files should not be overwritten but it's good idea b) FTP new .php files Should be fine. Database shouldn't get overwritten if you go throgh the install process again but your config.php file will need to be updated with your db login.

@David - Everything's working great. This looks like it is an awesome product. Kudos for the hard work. @Jenny21 - I did as David suggests. I ftp'd all files except config.php and the update works perfectly.

Yup! Save the config.php file and the files-folder. Upload the update. Works perfect Thanks to BT BR/Stefan
