problem downloading error and fetching data

(iPhone 4, iOS 5, Xcode 4.2, buzztouch v1.5) [CONTEXT] My iOS app consists of word docs, location maps, and call us screens. There are about 250 menus and screens total. The word docs, phone numbers and locations change very infrequently. I want the user to be able to access the word documents and menus without internet service (i.e. iPod Touches, and iPhones/iPads without internet service), and then the location maps and call function would require an internet connection. I included all of the word documents in the BT_Docs folders, and put the couple of pictures in the BT_Images folder. The app is set up in a drill down fashion with MENU/MENU/LIST/SCREEN(S) for all of the info. After I install the app on my iPhone, it works fine with an internet connection. When I put my iPhone in airplane mode (to simulate not having internet), all of the screens have their info, but the menus and screens (that I didn't access with internet previously) that I click on give the message There was a problem downloading some data. Check your internet connection then try again. before I can look at the screens/menus. I set the dataURL: & reportToCloudURL to in the BT_config.txt file. I also increased the timeoutSeconds in BT_downloader.m. (I also tried keeping the normal dataURL: & reportToCloudURL values. I had the same problem) [QUESTION] How can I set my app to fetch all of the info the first time I open it and avoid the constant There was a problem downloading some data. error messages? Making the user drill down through all of the menus and lists the first time they use it (with internet) doesn't seem like a very good solution. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I set the dataURL: & reportToCloudURL to blank in the BT_config.txt file.

does anyone have any idea about this? I suppose that if I have a location map and a call us function, then I can't make a offline app. I'm just trying to avoid the constant There was a problem downloading some data message when in airplane mode.
