Maths symbol in Quiz question

Hi, Is there a way to put a symbol in the quiz question? Or for example the square root sign of a number, a power, or a fraction? I tried to create these in the equation editor in word and then convert it and upload it as image, but that didn't work... :-(. I am sorry if this question is too simple... Thanks,

Hi Samira, Your question is not too simple; in fact, I thought it was impossible. It seems that Fun Quiz let one enter HTML in the question area. So for example, I tried the following: What is the <img src=yourdomain.com/images/sq-root25.jpg>. My expectation is that <img src=yourdomain.com/images/sq-root25.jpg> would render a picture of the square root of 25 that I had creatred and uploaded in images in my domain. The result would be: What is the (pic here), and I just proceeded to fill the answer side. Unfortunately, I can't say that it works for sure because I have not been able (yet) to get Eclipse to run to test my hypothesis. If you are past that stage, perhaps you can try it and let me know if it worked. Good luck, Harry. P.S. To save you time, the picture I created is located at: http://shoppingspaces.com/images/sq-root25.jpg

Hi Harry, Thanks very much for your suggestion. I tried it and it didn't work, but even if it works, putting the HTML in the answer (in case the answer has surds) is not allowed? because I tried that and it gave me error. I get around inserting sqrt by another way through showing the character viewer calculator in a mac (it inserts most of the symbols and is great), but I still can't find a solution for situations where I have superscript or a fraction. Thanks again for your help :-), Samira

Hi Samira, You are welcome. Thank you for the update. Now we know what won't work. I hope you find the answer to the other challenges. Keep at it, Harry

Thanks very much for your comments. I checked the thread and it is what I am doing at the moment, but lots of the features that we can do in a word document are not allowed in the question quiz or question. I will have to find an alternative way to this. Thanks again!
