new problem with iOS 5 with iad banner... appears white

For some reason after upgrading to iOS 5 there is now a white banner that appears where the iAd banner appears. As soon as I click on a menu item that loads a screen that has iAd a white banner appears at the bottom of the screen which then fades before the actual iAd appears. I haven't changed anything on my end. Any ideas?? Josh

Mine has been doing that from the beginning and my app is still from the prior SDK.

About all we know on this is that some devices and developers can't seem to load iAds. Not sure why. The method that loads the ad is pretty straightforward (BT_viewController.m) and beyond your control. Not sure what the difference is between the ones that work and the ones that don't. Apple controls very VERY tightly how their ads are delivered through their network and this could have something to do with the issue. Wish I could offer more here.

Actually it loads iAds fine, that's not the problem. BEFORE the iAd loads, and to be more specific... as soon as that screen starts to load there is a white banner that shows then slowly fades in the same spot the iAd eventually loads. My live app is doing it as well. Maybe it always did and I just never noticed. I tried playing with some of the ad banner screen files. I see the background color is set to clear at 99% opacity. I tried changing all these variables... nothing. Certainly not on the top 100 things for you guys to work on, just making you aware. Josh

Got it. So the ad-view, the little box at the bottom, does animate / fade in and out when it gets or loses and ad. The idea is that if no ad is available it won't show. Easy enough to understand. Sounds like it's animating before it gets an ad? Hmm...it's on the list.
