Simple input and output calculations-Help please

Hello, I am new to buzztouch and developing smartphone applications in general and I have been playing with buzztouch for a couple weeks. I must say, this is a really cool resource. Since I am new, I don't fully know the capabilities of buzztouch and I am wondering how it is possible to build a simple calculating app. For example, user enters a few variables and the app screen returns a result. I have to imagine this is possible with the tools at disposal here, but I haven't been able to find such capability. Anyone have advice? Thanks

Hi @TOBrien. Welcome to Buzztouch! There are lots of ways that you could probably do this, but two come to mind : (1) create a custom HTML file (one that you create and ship as part of the app) that uses Javascript or some other client side scripting language to do the calculations, or (2) create a custom HTML form (again, one that ships with your app) that gathers the input, and sends it out to a server for processing with PHP or something. Pretty much anything you can do in a normal web browser, you can do in BT the same way. Hope that helps! Mark

@ TOBrien - Mark is completely correct in his suggestions. Also, you can edit and expand upon the source code to your app freely. So you can manually code whatever you need based on your coding skills. You could even hire a developer to do some coding for you. With this in mind you can basically do anything with buzztouch, it all depends on you.
