My first App now in the app store - The Pale's tour of Dublin. Music Promotion

Hi all, I've just had my first ever app go live. It's for a Dublin band The Pale, its a tour of Dublin based around 12 songs from their soon to be released album 'I Woke UP And I Was Gone'. We still have a few videos and other bits of content to drop in, but it is nearly there. We are officially releasing it all in Odessa Club in Dublin on Thursday the 27th. There will be some unique geo-location functionality dropped in as well once the album is in the stores! I'd love to get some feedback on it from some fellow buzztouchers. Enjoy the music on it, they are a great band and it's been a pleasure to work with such good folk. Blurb on the app... A musical walking tour of Dublin, The Pale, I Woke Up And I Was Gone sees the band link the 12 songs of their new album with places of interest around Irish capital. The app is a unique guide to lesser spotted Dublin, celebrating the DIY and creative ethos that has come to the fore in recent years as well as the humour, craft and culture that makes Dublin such a unique city. Watch 12 videos of the band performing each song from their new album in some unique and interesting locations.

The app looks great. I downloaded and installed with no problems on my IPad2. Very fluid from screen to screen. The way you did the Tap For Map is a nice touch. If I may ask. How much native code in the app? What I mean by that is this a BT only developed app or did you put some significant level of your own native code in it. Just trying to get a feel what percentage is BT vs other as far as development goes. Thanks

The version you see there is 95% buzztouch. For the content pages I used a wordpress template. I have some coding ability, but what really impressed me with Buzztouch was that it just let me get on with the content and design. I can't say enough good things about it. If want people to think you are more clever than you reall are, use buzztouch ;-) Once the album is in stores I am going to add functionality that allows users who visit the locations to download the studio version of the song for free. This code I developed myself from some sample code I got from one of the developers on the forum. In short, I can't recommend buzztouch more - it let us put more time into the content, videos and concept of the app. The only headaches came from Apple and getting provisioning profiles to line up. Really frustrating process, that aparently all App developers have to go through.

Hi Aquila, Thanks! - I'm adding the last of the content as we speak, so it'll be a bit more fleshed out in an hour or so. I used the native Buzztouch map functionality in V1.5. I made good use of the advanced features Thanks for the good message! - its being officiall launched tomorrow (press release and all that jazz) - so becoming nail biting stuff for me.

Looks good Declan! You might like to check the tour dates - it just has the template showing? Not sure if you have aleady fixed it but just in case. Great first effort well done.

@TonyM - thanks, I updated the page with a link. I'm still waiting on the band to send me their tour dates, but it should have a link to a page that says 'tour dates to come'. Glad you liked the app.
