eMail and call us did not work in iPhone4 running ios5

Created screens for call us and email us functions. When pressed call us link on main menu - nothing happened. With email us - got the following msg: Email Not Supported on this device. Tried both methods as a separate action type menu and as native app. Running latest iOS sdk. Results are the same. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Are you testing on the simulator? Those options have to be tested on a device.

Hi UkkoSaunas, What type of screen do you mean by 'main menu', like a menu list or a button menu, or a tabbed layout? Not really sure why these shouldn't work on your device without more information. Was there any output to the console when you run this app with the device connected to xcode?

Hi Parker, thank you for reply. I've created menu list first. Created 'call us' and 'email us' screens with calling 'other actions' from the drop down list: 'email us' and 'call us' respectively. Then, I've added 'call' and 'email' screens to the menu list (not to the tabs). Connected device to mac and run app to it. Once app was installed on the iPhone, I've tested those functions and both of them do not work (as described above). Then, I tried to do it differently, so instead of calling 'other actions', I've called 'native app' behaviour and wrote phone number for the phone and email address for the email. The same thing - does not work. In the console, there were no errors reported.

@ fplamorim, I believe that extra confirmation before a call was made was removed intentionally in the update: 08-19-2011: Place Call Confirmation removed. see: http://www.buzztouch.com/docs/v1.5/ You would have to manually change the code for your app to get that behavior back.
