Question about implementing rss feeds

I am very new to this. My question is pretty simple. Let's say I have an application that specifically displays a number of rss feeds about automotive research. Are all rss feeds free to use? Mainly if somebody has a blog with an rss feed about automotive research, can I use that feed in my app and still charge 99 cents for it?

Hi Absentia, If I were you I would get into contact with the RSS feed owner. That way you know you have permission to use their feed in an app used in a for profit manner. But that's just me, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

ah, I see...well I may just avoid the rss avenue altogether for now. Thanks a lot for the response
