Linking to an App in the App Store leave my BT app with a pinwheel

Wow, is that title confusing or what? I'll try to elaborate. I have a menu list that links to a custom URL. The URL I'm using is a LinkShare link to an iphone app in the app store. When I click on the menu in my app, it asks if I want to go to itunes (makes sense). And when I do, it jumps to safari for a second, and then goes to itunes and finds the correct app (so far so good...) But when I jump back to my BT app, it is left at the custom url screen (which is blank), and it has a ...loading... pinwheel that never stops. I can click on 'Back' and get back to my menu, but that's an extra step that leaves it looking less professional. Is there any way to avoid this process? Whats the best way to link to an app in the app store? I need to use a URL since I'm using a link from LinkShare, rather than the native app launch. Thanks!

I've built a custom html 'store' that looks like the itunes store. I then have my linkshare links trigger from this page. When you come back to the app, you're in the nicely formatted 'store'. If you look at the 4th screenshot of this app you'll see what I mean: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/m-go-blue-michigan-trivia/id443653945?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 I've done this for a dozen apps and it works great.

Very cool. Are you using Sencha or some other framework to make that html page? Also, are you 'reading' in the specs for each app (number of stars, etc.) from itunes, or did you manually create that part? And when the user comes back from iTunes, are they back on that same page? (using a _blank take on the url or something?) Thanks for any help.

I modified the iwebkit framework: http://snippetspace.com/projects/iwebkit/ When people come back to the page within the app it's the full store html page.
