Does v1.5 only simulate on macs?

I am trying to use the new 1.5 as I want to be able to add images to my menu and take advantage of the instructional videos, which are for v1.5. My confusion arises from the fact that they keep talking about xcode and since I am on a Windows computer I can't download that. Is there a way to use the android eclipse to preview my application or is this for macs only? I apologize if this is been addressed before but I couldn't find it in the q and a or forums search.
