What is the best Android version to use to make an app

Im new to this, im wondering which version do i have to pick if that matters, i want my app to work on all androids if thats possible, if not explain what i should do, usually eclipse puts it to 1.6 i believe?

I'm guessing 2.2 is pretty safe to use. Matter of fact if you use Android BT v1.5 I beleive you are required to use google api 2.2 I could be mistaken. I'm sure others will pop in and voice an opinion...

i thought if i put out a version lets say 1.6 itll work on anything 1.6 and higher?

Near the Bottom of the Readme file in your downloaded project zipp file you will find the following: Be sure to download the Google 2.2 API's and Google Maps Libraries and install them in your Eclipse environment. You'll need the Google Maps Libraries installed even if you don't use any map screens. You can get around this but it's easier to just download them so Eclipse + Google play nicely. I'm not sure you will get all the functionality of the device and Buzztouch if you use something earlier...
