i've downloaded everything for my android app, and i'm stuck on what do next

so i have created my app and i believe i have downloaded everything i was suppose to. now i am stuck. keep in mind, i'm not the best at wording this computer stuff. the screen i have open says at the top android sdk and avd manager. honestly, that's the best i can explain where i'm at. i thought i followed all the on-screen instructions and i read the read-me text document but nothing is making sense. could someone please put a good explanation in lame-mans terms? it would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you.

There are plenty of examples in the forum. do a quick search and you should find the info you need. This may help: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=30BEDFEABEC9EAAE06BD892&status=&searchInput=android&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=3&doViews=1

ok, that got me a little closer...now there is a box asking me which package to install and in the box to the left, there are no choices. did i obviously miss a step? i'm sorry if this seems too easy but like i said, newbie here.
