Adding a photo in Android

I am working on a basic app design for a class in college. The issue my team is coming across is trying to add a photo to an html page for android. We followed the directions in adding the image (case sensitive) to the BT_image file and it does show on eclipse that it is in that file. When running the virtual device, all the information on the screen comes up just fine but there is no picture. Does buzztouch have any known issues with pics on android or is there something we are missing?

I have the same issue with images on Android. Even using image gallery doesn't work via url.

If you're using BTb1.5 Android the problem may be related to the problem showing Word Docs. The 1.5 Android is not finished as of the time, see my Words Doc post.

Hi Ursuswolf, What screen type are you using? Is the HTML file embedded in the app as well?

All I am using is a jpg image dumped into the BT_image folder. I'm not actually trying to pull off the web yet. My partner and I have been trying to get any kind of photo to work in the background of a custom html text screen. We have been messing with the advanced screen properties, background image. Both small and large image (not the url, just the standard) we have turned transparency on and off and we have tried multiple positions for the picture. Nothing working yet.

The first thing to check is that there aren't any spaces or special characters ( *&^%$#@! etc.) in the filename. Then you'll need to double check that the image named used in the control panel matches exactly the one file name of the image you drag into your eclipse project. You'll need to recompile your eclipse project and re-run/install the app anytime after you add new files to it for the files to appear on the simulator/device. After you check the above, run the device in the sim and see what LogCat displays when you access this screen. There are LogCat setup instructions in your project download folder in the README.txt file.
