Sadly, you need a Mac (as far as I am aware) as it's the only OS that supports the developer tool Xcode. The cost is a yearly payment of £99. (Well worth it in my opinion.)

not yet, but I'm very very close to finishing development of my app on iOS and I plan to release it on android as well. You could say I'll be learning how to compile on Android using Eclipse quite soon. Nick

'Big brother is always watching' - LOL you guys are killing me, and yet, here I am. :P To get your app into the app store you need to have a Developer Account which runs $99 a year. I believe you can submit as many apps as you would like from that account. As always go to the source for the latest info as it is subject to change from time to time: http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action Do you need a mac to make iOS apps? - Generally yes but check out: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=CAD92E19A7AD69AF2B3515E You should be able to download xcode 4.1 for free from the iOS Developer website (above) without needing to pay to have a developer account. For the Android Market I believe the yearly fee is $35 (or $25?). http://market.android.com/publish How do you create an .apk file? See your other thread: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=F2DDB6F91B2AF09893849C5

Getting the app up and running in Eclipse is harder than it looks. My app is published on the App Store but still trying to get it running in Eclipse to publish on the Android Market. Stame, have you gotten yours running? Nick

@ QuiggityBiggity, We recommend following these directions and running the 'Hello World' test app before trying to load your own. http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html Be sure to download Google's API 2.2 level 8 when adding components. There is more information in the README.txt file in your v1.5 Android project folder.

Big Brother....sooooo funny. It's all about the headband thing wrapped around his head and the cool dark shades.
