Words file

How/where do you get the link to a word doc. I have a dropbox acct but the link I'm using downloaded the file instead of displaying it. Also tried goggle docs & SugarScyn.

Hi Fred, It's been a little while since i've used Dropbox, but if I recall correctly the files you want to access through your app have to be in the Shared folder and you have to access them by navigating to the folder they are in (if they're in a directory structure within the Shared folder). When you can see them in whatever folder they're in, you can use the drop down options the the right of the file or right-click for options and select 'copy public URL'. You then use this copied URL when referencing the doc in a Word Document screen.

I tried that and all I get is an email screen. Is there another way to put a word file into an app?

Oh, ok. That screen isn't quite finished yet. If you look at the README.txt file in your project download you'll see that some screens aren't finished, but will be updated and ready to roll in the Phase II release. Which should be very soon now. I should have asked you which version and device you were using from the get go, but I have a habit of assuming iOS when I see someone is an early adopter. It's a habit I'm unlearning quickly though. ;)
