there was a problem saving some data to the devices cache

I have some RSS pages that are loading a list. The list comes from such an RSS http://www.eindhoven.nl/nieuws/Rss-feed-Eindhoven-Actueel.htm. When clicking on an item from the list i get this error there was a problem saving some data to the devices cache and no content. how can i prevent this from happening?

I still have this problem, also when linking to a URL, same message. So it's not related to RSS only.

The trouble is going to be related to how the content is loaded (or not loaded) in BT_screen_webView.m file. This is the file that handles web (url) content. Have a look at the output console in Xcode with the app running to see what tips it may offer. a) Open the app with xcode running b) Display the output console c) Navigate to the menu with the url trouble (could be an rss list) d) Clear the console so it's not cluttered and confusing e) Select the menu item to load the URL. At this point the console should show some good info about what it's trygin to load and where it's tryting to load it from.

Hi David, see below the output: 2011-10-17 20:25:09.043 eindhoven[1307:207] BT_fileManager: File does not exist in cached directory: Dutch-Design-Week-in-Eindhoven.htm 2011-10-17 20:25:09.043 eindhoven[1307:207] BT_screen_webView: Data Save Error 2: There was a problem saving a document: Dutch-Design-Week-in-Eindhoven.htm The webpage that should be loaded is an existing page (http://www.eindhoven.nl/artikelen/Dutch-Design-Week-in-Eindhoven.htm) but somehow it is not loaded in the app. This count for almost all pages in the app. In 1.4 the pages are loaded without a problem.

@Zjapp: Hi again...hectic around here keeping up with the backend... #1 App in Austria and Germany hammering the backend (this is good news!). So..I had a look at the list of apps you've made. Which one is the one with the issue? I have access to the list but cannot download your project without your permission first. Kindly post.... a) The name of the app in your control panel that is causing the trouble (I realize more than one may be, just pick one) b) The nickname of the screen that won't load. c) A simple: It's OK for buzztouch to download my app for testing' I'll figure it out.

I downloaded your project and see the 'Look at the BT_screen_rssReader.java file' because the RSS reader .java file is incomplete. Does this mean you changed or updated your rss.java file and it actually displays some stories? It must be? Lets do this. Post the URL to one of the stories. I'll create a test app and load that URL in a custom URL screen to see what happens. Same effect, it loads (or won't in this case) in the same file so it should lead me in the right direction. The URL does matter. They are not all the same even thought they appear the same. Different URL's behave different ways sometimes ;-)

Feel silly. I was chasing this issue in ANDROID, not iOS. Funny what happens when you juggle too many plates! We were able to duplicate and fix the trouble. I've tested your app on several devices, all's well. See the change log for details and grab the latest project from your control panel. All will work ;-)
