Strange quiz background problem - iOS 1.5

This one is kickin' my butt! I replaced the quizBG_small.png and quizBG_large.png with new ones, and re-compiled my app - but the default image is still showing up. In xcode, I can plainly see my images in the preview pane. I also tried renaming the files to something different then the default names, and referenced them in the BTconfig - but that still didn't work. I tried playing with the opacity. Tried deleting the entire Quizimages folder and replacing it with a new copy including my custom BG files. But still didn't work. Any suggestions?

I even tried deleting the app from the simulator and re-compiling. Same result.

Hi Stobe, Which BT_images folder where you dragging the images into? If you're using the one within xcode itself then it should work after a recompile. The files are named the same as the old ones you were replacing right?

yes, I've dragged the file into xcode itself. And the file is named the same so it fully replaced the other. The default background picture is nowhere to be found in the app (inside xcode), which is why its so baffling. Maybe the simulator has the old image cached. I un-installed the app and re-installed it from xcode, but that didn't do anything. Is there another way to clear the cache of the simulator? (I vaguely remember reading about a file location on the mac's hard drive, now that I'm typing this, lol)

I found a related forum thread that will probably resolve the issue for us: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=2EE0A1AD8FE3F4A281AED63

Thanks. I'll try to do a clean on the simulator. I've isolated it to the simulator, as by device builds work like a charm. I found the other post showing how to clean the cache, but there didn't seem to be any images in the cache folder, and the debug info at the bottom of xcode was showing that the image was found in the bundle (no d/l needed). Anyhow, its working on the devices, so its ready to send! Thanks for the help!
