iPhone app complied and complete in XCode - now what?

This goes beyond the scope of buzztouch, I'm sure, but I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I'm googling and looking for youtube videos as well. I've got my app finished in XCode now, and want to first test it on my iPhone to see how it looks, then submit it to Apple. What steps do I need to do? I have access to my certificate, and can create a provisioning profile (by the way, do you create a provisioning profile for each app, or one provisioning profile, and add new apps to a single profile?)

For provisioning profiles, you'll always create two for each app -- one for Ad Hoc testing on your devices and one for App Store distribution. To keep track of things, I always use the app name and 'Ad Hoc' or 'App Store' as naming conventions (ie. 'Golf Ad Hoc' and 'Golf App Store'). That makes it easier when you've built a bunch of apps and need to set your code signing for the correct app. Create your provisioning profiles in your developer account, download them, double-click them to install into xcode. Then set your code signing to the ad hoc profiles for your app. You do this in two places ('targets-->build settings' and 'project-->build settings') Click 'product-->clean' then 'product-->archive' The organizer will open. Select 'share' and save the file. Copy the file to your phone for testing. I use testflightapp.com to install the apps on my various devices for testing. I've also got a couple of friends set up to test apps as well. Once you've thoroughly tested and are ready to submit to apple, follow the same steps but set your code signing to the 'App Store' profile you created. You'll need to have the app created within iTunes Connect and set to upload the build. Then once you've compiled it, in the organizer you'll select validate then submit.
