Nav Bar Right Button Transition

When I select the Right Button Transition, only the Nav Bar uses the transition. If I select FLIP, only the Nav Bar flips. The menu screen does not flip. The background just appears, it doesn't flip along with the nab bar. I must be overlooking a setting.

When you make a change in your control panel, is your app refreshing to update the changes?

Hi Gammy, It doesn't sound as though you are overlooking anything. I'm guessing you're using v1.5 for Android? This shouldn't be an issue for iOS. If you're using android, thanks for the heads up, it is an issue we will be addressing with the release of phase 2. Please see the README.txt file in your Android project download for more information. If you are using iOS then something is wrong. If that is the case please post back letting us know if you are getting any errors in the console or whatever else you can tell us. The more info the better.

The transitions seem to be working fine in my app, on IOS, is it possible your background image is not allowing you to see the transition there? This on device or in simulator?

OK, the background image was listed twice in Xcode. Removed one. Rebuilt. No warnings now. Still same problem.

Maybe copy and paste the Config.txt file from buzztouch? Delete the Config.txt in Xcode and replace with fresh one from BT

I replaced config.txt and still have the same problem. My menu Button screen only has a background image (no buttons). Could that be the problem?

Added a button. Now the Nav Bar and the button flip but not the background. It looks weird. Is this the way it is supposed to look when it flips?

Maybe something weird with the name of your background image? i have tried every possible scenario with menu buttons/background images/right nav screen loads/ and all is working well on my end...what is the name of your background image?

I just noticed when I click the back button that my Home Screen (that is also a Menu Button screen) does the same thing. It is named HomeScreen.png. I'm thinking that I'm going to need to use a Custom HTML instead of a Menu Screen that contains only a background image.

The Flip transition works perfectly when going from a Menu List screen to a Custom HTML screen and back. There seems to be some kind of problem transitioning from a Menu Button screen to another Menu Button screen and back. Is anyone else having this problem?

I just tested tapping a menu button that opens up another menu button screen and the transisition flip worked fine...does it work when removing any of your background images?

It still doesn't flip the whole screen, only the nab bar. I think I'll just use the FADE transition. Thanks for all of your help ianjamesplano.

Maybe this is going on. If the screen you are transitioning FROM had not content (no buttons) and the screen you are transitioning TO has no content it will look like only the nav bar is flipping. The flip is happening on the entire screen but because there isn't anything to see it looks like the nav bar is the only thing moving. Happens all the time. Do this: a) Get both screens to show the correct content (buttons, background image, html, list, whatever) b) Connect the two screens with the rightnav button with NO animation. It should transition from one screen to the next and back without any trouble. c) Add the animation type...bet it works.

David, The screen I am transitioning FROM is a Menu (Buttons) with a background image but no buttons (I also tried adding buttons) and the screen I am transitioning TO is setup the same way. It looks like only the Nav Bar is moving (just like you said). When I added the buttons, then the buttons and the Nav Bar moved. The background image is not moving as I expected it to using the Flip Animation. I thought that maybe the Flip won't work with this situation. It works perfectly when transitioning from a Menu (List) to an HTML page. I'll follow your steps above and try again.

Yeah, still makes sense. Consider this...if the background image on both screens is the same you're not going to see it change. The screen itself is 'clear' with some button on it. The background image is 'behind' the buttons. In this case, it's probably a better idea, and may look better, to use the standard transition so the buttons 'slide' Tons of ways to do this and with all the options comes some confusion - totally understandable. It's a balance between super-flexible and easy to understand. Hard to achieve both.
