Preparing your app for release - What exactly are we supposed to be doing?

Hello Everyone, When developing in Eclipse, what are all the recommended/necessary steps we have to do prior to packaging/signing our package for release. For example, in the Android DEV guide here http://developer.android.com/guide/publishing/preparing.html it says to: Turn off logging and debugging and clean up data/files I have searched on Google and cannot get a clear answer as to how to get this done. Anyone here know? Also, what are all the options we have to change or or strings we have to remove inside of our source-code? Just looking for a standard set of steps.

If you don't need to make any modifications or additions to the downloaded bt code and you're not using google maps (I've never used the option, so I don't know the steps), all you need to do is set ''debuggable'' to false in the androidmanifest file and if you're using the facebook option, add your facebook details to the strings.xml file. That's enough to allow correct packaging/signing.
